OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THE CONTEST (“Contest”). A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

By entering into the Contest, each entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these official rules (“Official Rules”) and the decisions of Durham College Office of Development and Alumni Affairs (“Sponsor”), which shall be final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.

1. SPONSOR AND ADMINISTRATOR

Sponsor and Administrator: Durham College Office of Advancement and Alumni Relations, 2000 Simcoe Street North, Oshawa, ON L1H 7K4.

2. ELIGIBILITY

The Contest is open only to individuals who, at the time of entry: (a) are alumni of Durham College (i.e., have graduated with a Durham College credential) and are in good standing with the College; (b) are legal residents of Canada; and (c) are at least the age of majority in their province or territory of residence (18 in Ontario). The following are not eligible: employees, officers, directors, representatives, and agents of Durham College (including the Office of Advancement and Alumni Relations), and members of their immediate family (spouse, parent, child, sibling) and persons living in the same household (whether related or not). The Sponsor may require proof of eligibility to its satisfaction. Entries must be received by the Entry Deadline defined below.

3. CONTEST PERIOD

Subject to these Official Rules, the Contest begins on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. ET (the “Contest Period”), after which time the Contest will be closed and no further entries shall be accepted. The Sponsor’s server time is the official timekeeping device for the Contest.

4. HOW TO ENTER

A. APP ENTRY:

(i) Download the DC Alumni Connect app through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store;

(ii) Sign up for a DC Alumni Connect account;

(iii) Once you receive an email from the DC Alumni Connect administrator, visit the Contest page in the DC Alumni Connect app;

(iv) Select the contest you would like to enter;

(v) Review and agree to these Official Rules;

(vi) Click to enter the Contest.

All entries must be received by the Entry Deadline of 10:00 a.m. ET on Friday, June 12, 2026. Proof of transmission or submission does not constitute proof of receipt. Entries that are late, lost, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, misdirected, or generated by script, macro, bot, or other automated means will be disqualified. Standard data/usage rates may apply to app or mobile participation; check with your service provider for details.

5. ENTRY LIMIT

Entries are limited to one (1) per person, per email address, and per DC Alumni Connect account during the Contest Period, regardless of method of entry. Multiple entries from the same person, email address, or account will be disqualified. Any attempt to use multiple identities, accounts, or automated systems to enter will result in disqualification.

6. RANDOM DRAWING; WINNER SELECTION; ODDS

On June 12, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. EST at Durham College, the Sponsor will conduct a random drawing from among all eligible entries received during the Contest Period to select three (3) potential winners. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

7. WINNER NOTIFICATION; VERIFICATION; FORFEITURE

Potential winners will be notified by the Sponsor via the phone number and/or email address provided at the time of entry and may also be announced on the Sponsor’s social media channels. To be declared a winner, the selected entrant must: (a) respond within [3] business days of the first attempted notification; (b) correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited mathematical skill‑testing question administered by the Sponsor; and (c) execute and return a Declaration of Compliance, Release of Liability and Publicity Consent within [5] business days of receipt. If a potential winner does not meet these requirements, is found to be ineligible, declines the prize, or cannot be contacted, the prize will be forfeited and the Sponsor may, at its sole discretion, select an alternate entrant by random draw from remaining eligible entries.

8. PRIZES; APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (“ARV”)

There are three (3) prizes available. Each prize consists of one (1) Durham College Alumni baseball cap (Prizes are non-transferable, not redeemable for cash, and no substitutions are permitted, except the Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize (or any component) with one of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable for any reason. Limit one (1) prize per person.

9. PRIZE FULFILLMENT

Prize delivery method (e.g., pickup at Durham College or shipment to a Canadian address) will be determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. If shipment is selected, the Sponsor will cover standard shipping within Canada; the Sponsor is not responsible for carrier delays, loss, or damage once shipped. Winners are responsible for any incidental costs not expressly stated as included. If any taxes or reporting requirements apply, they are the sole responsibility of the winner.

10. PUBLICITY RELEASE

By accepting a prize, each winner consents to the Sponsor’s use of their name, city/province of residence, likeness, voice, statements about the Contest, and (if applicable) submitted entry content, for advertising, publicity, and promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without additional notice, approval, or compensation, unless prohibited by law.

11. USER-GENERATED CONTENT (IF APPLICABLE)

If the Contest requires submission of content (e.g., photo, text, audio, video), entrants represent and warrant that their submission is original, does not infringe any third‑party rights, and complies with all applicable laws and these Official Rules. By submitting content, entrants grant the Sponsor a perpetual, worldwide, royalty‑free, non‑exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, display, distribute, and create derivative works for administrative and promotional purposes related to the Contest and the College.

12. CONDUCT; DISQUALIFICATION

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE CONTEST WEBSITE, APP, OR ANY RELATED WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CRIMINAL PROSECUTION. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any person who tampers with the entry process or violates these Official Rules or who acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.

13. RELEASE; INDEMNITY; LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

By entering, each entrant releases and holds harmless Durham College, its governors, officers, directors, employees, students, volunteers, representatives, agents, successors, and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability for any injuries, loss, or damage of any kind to persons or property, including personal injury or death, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Contest, any Contest-related activity, or acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize, or any breach of these Official Rules. Entrant agrees to indemnify the Released Parties from any and all claims by third parties relating to the entrant’s participation in the Contest or any breach of these Official Rules.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE RELEASED PARTIES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER ARISING OUT OF THIS CONTEST OR ANY PRIZE.

14. FORCE MAJEURE; TECHNICAL ISSUES

The Sponsor is not responsible for: (a) any incorrect or inaccurate information, technical failures, or malfunctions of any kind, including but not limited to failures of hardware, software, networks, servers, or providers; (b) delayed, lost, garbled, or misdirected entries; or (c) events beyond its reasonable control (including, without limitation, acts of God, fire, flood, epidemic/pandemic, labour disputes, government action, or failures of telecommunications). The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest (in whole or in part) if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest, without prior notice.

15. PRIVACY

Winner will be notified by Durham College, Office of Advancement and Alumni Relations via the phone number and/or the email address provided at time of entry and by posting winner names via social media. Privacy statement: In accordance with Chapter F.31, Part III of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, R.S.O. 1990, the personal information of winners is collected and retained under the legal authority of O. Reg. 34/03 of the Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology Act, 2002 and may be used and/or disclosed for administrative (including marketing), information technology, law enforcement, statistical and/or research purposes of the College and/or the ministries and agencies of the Government of Ontario and the Government of Canada. 17. DISPUTE RESOLUTION; CLASS ACTION WAIVER

Except where prohibited, entrants agree that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the courts of the Province of Ontario, and the parties irrevocably attorn to the jurisdiction of such courts.

18. GOVERNING LAW

All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and the Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

19. GENERAL CONDITIONS

The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation. Failure by the Sponsor to enforce any term shall not constitute a waiver. In the event of any conflict between any promotional materials and these Official Rules, these Official Rules shall govern.

21. RIGHT TO AMEND OR TERMINATE

The Sponsor reserves the right, without prior notice, to amend these Official Rules, or terminate, suspend, or modify the Contest, at its sole discretion at any time, subject to applicable law.
